To gain further insights into the impact of technology on the supply chain we had the opportunity to interview Radek Adámek, co-owner of Green Cargo s.r.o, a pure freight forwarding company that focuses mostly on the automotive industry, time-critical and express transports purely road freight.

Could you tell us a bit about your company's core activities and services?
Green Cargo is a freight forwarding company with over 10 years of experience. Although we have a small team of 9 employees, we serve over 100 customers and have a network of 900 to 1000 carriers. We focus on building strong, long-term relationships with our customers and providing exceptional service and support. We are committed to providing efficient and cost-effective solutions for our customers' logistics needs.
In your experience, what is currently the most challenging aspect of transportation operations that your company faces?
Winning auctions in the current market can be extremely challenging, as there is intense competition and a high supply of available transport options, often resulting in low prices. Maintaining high transport quality is also a key consideration. However, the market is currently sensitive and experiencing a decrease, with many carriers struggling to find enough loads. Despite these challenges, we remain hopeful for future improvements in the market
Looking towards the future, what challenges do you anticipate your company may encounter, such as potential driver shortages or other industry-wide issues?
Despite the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the market has not yet fully recovered. We hope to see a return to pre-pandemic levels, particularly in the automotive industry which was experiencing growth in 2019. However, the ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia is also affecting our operations and we are closely monitoring the situation.
In your opinion, how can embracing technology improve supply chain management, and how has the ongoing digitization of transportation - including tools like Easy4Pro - impacted the way you conduct business?
Technology has been a key element of my business for the last 20 years. In fact, we left our previous company because they weren't investing in technology. We started a new company with a strong focus on digitalization, making sure we're as digitally efficient as possible. We've become proficient in various systems so we can cater to different customer needs. Our core lies in digitalization - we can manage big business with fewer people, making our work faster and more effective. We're very excited to see also what AI will bring to our industry in the future, and we believe it will bring significant changes. We have a strong commitment to environmental sustainability at Green Cargo. As part of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we have made a conscious decision to eliminate the use of paper in our operations. and fully embraced electronic archiving.
Could you discuss the importance of having software to simplify the logistics process, from your perspective?
Having software to simplify the logistics process is crucial for ensuring that we can efficiently manage our operations and provide high-quality service to our customers.
